The purpose of this book is to help you study and review independently the material in Lipsey. Courant. Purvis. and Steiner. Economics. Tenth Edition. Each chapter in this Study Guide corresponds to a chapter in the text and contains several sections: chapter overview. multiple-choice questions. exercises. and short problems. There are also review sections for microeconomics and macroeconomics at the end of the Study Guide.
The chapter overview highlights important concepts that you should understand after studying the corresponding chapter in the text and gives some perspective on how the material in a given chapter relates to other chapters. The multiple-choice questions are designed to test your understanding of these basic concepts. Each chapter contains numerous exercises to reinforce your learning of economics. They test your ability to work with graphs. solve basic problems. analyze hypotheses. and demonstrate your understanding of important concepts. Answers to all of the multiple-choice questions and exercises are provided in the Study Guide.
All of the chapters also have short problems. in addition to the exercises. The short problems are very similar to exercises. but they are slightly more advanced. A distinguishing feature of the short problems is that the answers are not in this Study Guide.
